2019 Summer Window Mercato: The Merry-Go-Round Is On ! Ndombélé, Eriksen, De Ligt and co…

2019 Summer transfers are on and rumors are flying high; only psychics and brave ITKs have the grits to announce big signings to come in different clubs and Leagues, but the Summer Window’s particularity is to show how humans fail in their predictions, so here there won’t be any…

There’s a lot of talk about Tottenham’s future signings; Bétis Seville and former PSG’s player  Giovani Le Celso is a popular candidate, but as he’s currently on international duty, he has more immediate projects than a future with the North London club.

Will Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombélé future be in England ? French press are sending him to Tottenham but he’s also an alternative for Zidane’s Real Madrid if Paul Pogba prefers to go to his old club Juventus instead of the Spanish club.

If true then Zidane will have a try to sign Christian Eriksen, but the Spurs president would like an exchange : the Danish star for the young but very much talented Marco Ascensio(23 years old) ; of course Madrid refused immediately, the battle is still on !

Anyhow, Lyon’s president Jean-Michel Aulas had already announced that they’re going to sell only two players: Mendy has already signed to Real Madrid so there will be only one player to go…Nabil Fékir had a shocking season(injuries galore) plus he’s got huge wages, so it’s the president’s wish to offload him, the sooner the better. In a recent interview J-M Aulas lauded his relationship with Madrid’s president, insisting how easy and nice was making deals with him. A stone to Daniel Levy’s garden ? The Frenchman still remembers Hugo Lloris’ sale and it’s not a good memory!

Tottenham’s first offer(45 M euros +bonuses) was flatly refused by the Lyonnais ; the offer was very far away from the 80M euros wanted by the club! Aulas is hoping other offers from Madrid, Juventus and maybe Manchester United.

PSG’s newly appointed Sports director Leonardo, has lots to do; Neymar is a thorn in the club’s affairs and need to be treated asap. The  Parisian club stopped  trying to sign  Hugo Lloris(this year they were hoping that after the CL loss, the french captain would want a change of scenery and what’s better than a come back to France?) and now they’re trying to sign Navas on free.

Is Matthijs de Ligt en route to Serie A and Juventus ? If true FC Barcelona and PSG will have to change their plans; indeed Ajax want the sign asap and register the player’s compensation after his  good CL running.

Manchester United are working hard to find THE signing who’ll help the club’s comeback into the Big Four, but it’s easier said than done! Lots of rumors on the move but it’s about players leaving the club…good news though, David de Gea could stay, his new contract must be huge ! Last but not least Brazil’s  new sensation Everton, has admitted he would love to play at Old Trafford; the Brazilian thinks that his skills could be useful to Man.U but also (???) to other EPL teams.

Another hope for the club is to lure Christian Eriksen to Old Trafford if the  player’s Spanish dream fails; they could also swap Lukaku for Icardi; promises, promises…

There’s also Harry’s Maguire “liked instagram post“suggesting that he would like to join Manchester United but it seems it was just a mistake;”I didn’t mean to guys…we’ve all been there” tweeted the player, oh well…

What about Arsenal ? They too are chasing in every League not only in Europe but also overseas; the Chinese Super League announced they had banned Yannick Carrasco for “unprofessional behaviour”; got booked to avoid playing and was absent from the training with no reason“. He sure does want to come back to Europe and it seems that Arsenal are willing and waiting… Meantime Aubameyang is flirting with Man.U while the 23 years old Lucas Torreira could leave the club after only one year, it seems that London life doesn’t suit him, in Milan  he could feel better.

For those who love  counting millions, they should wait for news about Neymar’s transfer to Spain; the Brazilian’s behaviour on and outside of the pitch have put  an end to the Qatari’s owner patience. He’s on the road but where ? A come back to Barcelona, maybe.

No predictions and no big signings…yet, but there’s still time for hope and heartbreak, Mercato in his best!
