Zlatan Ibrahimovic, aged 33, 30 goals in 37 games (0,8 per game) even if he was out for three months during the season(two months for injury and one suspended), is not PSG’s blue-eyed boy any more. From the Parisian taxi driver to the Parc des Princes faithful the same complaint, the same envy to see the Swedish superstar, leave the French capital. What did he do to merit the fans ire ?
Scoring 30 times, should be sufficient for any forward in the French league, but not for some one of Zlatan’s dimension. PSG’s supporters are tired of their prized striker’s lack of positive presence during the Champions League games and most of all, annoyed by his scathing commentary about France, after a difficult game against Bordeaux.
This season, the Swedish international will have the difficult task to gain back the supporters love and support. He must prove that he is the best and that Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette (Best goalscorer for season 2014/15) is too young to usurp his Best Goalscorer’s throne. The first impressions during this summer’s outings were quite positive and some times excellent; it seems that if there’s no injuries or verbal abuse from “Ibra” this new season, the last year of his contract could be one to remember.
Some weeks ago, the player announced via his application Zlatan Unplugged, that he expects to beat PSG’s icon goal recordman, Pauleta (109). It shouldn’t be difficult as the Swedish player has already scored 106 !
Nevertheless, all these nice plans, good intentions and love for the Parisian club could only be a smokescreen. The player’s agent, the infamous Mino Raiola, travelled to Quatar to discuss his client’s future; a year’s extension could permit the striker’s stay in Paris, if not as there’s only one year left in his current contract, the player would prefer to leave the French capital for Italy and Milan AC.(La Gazetta delo Sport)
This is Silly Season ladies and gents, so we should wait the end of this Summer Window Transfers before to know what really happened and even then…
It seems that it was during the after game press conference of the Champions Trophy(vs Lyon) that the player announced that “this could be my last game with PSG; I will have an important decision to make, this week” therefore starting numerous international press speculations. Well, the club via Jerome’s Touboul (PSG’s director of communication) twitter account demented every word of it.”Ibra never stated that this game would be his last one; on the contrary he stays to achieve the club’s prospects.” tweeted the French director.
Zlatan, wasn’t on the pitch for the new season’s Ligue 1 game; he was injured during the game against Lyon, therefore the press people, his fans and/or his hatters will have to wait untill his knee is mended to continue their speculations.
Editor’s note: AC Milan’s owner, Silvio Berlusconi declared that Zlatan has promised to return to Milan,( if he ever leaves Paris; ) gentlemen’s agreement, pressure on the player or a poor attempt to calm the fans’ waiting for something to happen before this window transfers close?
