After André’s Ayew(Olympique de Marseille) surprising sign to Premier League Swansea, here’s another one; Stéphane Mbia (Sevilla) aged 29, joined Turkey’s Trabzonspor. Both of them had very suitable clubs in waiting, so why that rush ?
Milan’s AC right winger Ignazio Abate, signed an extension till 2019. The 28 year- old Italian International, has played 23 games this season, all in Serie A.
Clément Grenier(Olympique Lyonnais) signed a two-year extension with his home town’s club. President Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that Fékir and Lacazette will stay with The Gones, (at least), another year.
RUMORS ( but not all of them)
AS Monaco’s fire sale is open ! Geoffrey Kondogbia(22), Ricardo Calvalho( 37), Yannick Ferreira Carrasco(21), Joao Moutinho(28), Layvin Kurzawa (23) and Aymen Abdennour(25) are set to leave the Rocher, if the price is right. Players like Anthony Martial and Bernando Silva, Head coach Jardim, want to keep them;(If he can !)
La Liga’s Real Madrid top priority is to sign Manchester’s United Goalkeeper David De Gea, in replacement for the departed club’s icon, Iker Casillas. It seems that the Merengue are not only proposing big bucks, but also they’re ready to add Karim Benzema to close the deal.
Marseille are still having money problems. The club’s deficit is between 27-30M Euros; also Gignac’s , Ayew and Morel departures on free didn”t help. They’ll need to sell in order to put their finances right, and Giannelli Imbula is on top of the list. After Tottenham Hotspur and Serie A Internazionale’s interest, it seems that he will join La Liga’s Valencia FC for a supposed 19M Euros fee. It will be a good career movement, for the Spanish club is qualified for the Champions League contest.
