Hello, everyone, here’s Winter’s Window, Day 11 report.
Signings :
Yaya Sanogo( Arsenal) on loan to Crystal Palace, till the end of the season. Palace’s boss, Alan Pardew, contacted Wenger in person, for the player’s loan, even if the youngster was keen to join Ligue 1 club Girondins de Bordeaux.
Pape Diakhaté (Granada) returns to Turkey; he signed a six months contract with Kayserispor, plus a year( on option).
Stefan Lichsteiner (Juventus) signed an extension (two years +one optional) with the Italian club. No surprise here, the 30-year-old Swiss international, is a well integrated bianconero.
Valencia’s(Liga) 22 year-old attacking midfielder, Carles Gill, is now a Villan. The player, signed a four and a-half year deal, to June 2019, subject to international clearance. Paul Lambert, Aston Villa’s boss, hopes that the player will add “the creative spark, that we have been lacking”.
Rumors(or almost):
Are Emmanuel Adebayor’s £80.000 weekly wages, a minus for his transfer? Serie’s A club, Parma, stopped the negotiation, for they can’t afford the Togolese’s salary. Unfortunately for Tottenham, there aren’t many clubs willing to pay that much, for a 30-year-old striker.
Liverpool and Valencia are interested by PSG’s Ezequiel Lavezzi; the Spanish club would like to replace the departed Carles Gil (Aston Villa) but the Parisians won’t let him go, not before assuring Benfica’s Nico Gaitan, signing.
Lyon’s President, Jean-Michel Aulas declared that there will be no departures and his prized players Alexandre Lacazette ( Ligue 1 Top Scorer, 19 L1+3 goals, 5 assists) and Nabil Fékir ( 5L1+4 goals, 5 assists) will stay to help the team’s position, currently on top of Ligue 1 Table. “Lacazette’s price tag, he said,is equal of Gareth Bale’s( Real Madrid) if not more !”
Even if Wilfried Bony leaves Swansea, Bafétimbi Gomis, the french striker, still wishes to leave the Swans, for a bigger club(+ bigger wages?) and more playing time. North London’s Arsenal are quite interested.
This is all for today, more to come shortly !
